The daily temperature-adjusted load differential remains depressed, down over 800 MW at times. A large portion of the demand destruction is likely attributable to industrial turnarounds, such as CNRL Horizon, Syncrude and MEG – that effectively shut in crude production. Suncor’s Firebag cogen unit output was also running down around 65 MW, which might imply reduced production given no recent planned outage announcement.
